Winning chess strategy for beginners

Chess and poker are two of the most popular games which involve applying optimum strategy more than anything else. It is for the same reason that both the games attract the interest of same kind of players. To get the winning chess strategy for your side you have to understand the fundamentals of the game and the framework in which the game works. The game of chess is not as complicated as it looks from the outside.

The fundamentals of the chess strategy are evaluation of chess positions, calculating the value of chess pieces on board and setting long term and short term goals for your moves. There are many factors that influences decisions made on strategy like pawn structure, king’s safety ,taking control on key squares or group of squares such as diagonal of squares.

We can use several tactics to unsettle the opponents right away. A good first move is moving the pawn in front of the king forward .Thus opening up the range of queen and bishop on either side of the king. This move may look like you are leaving the king wide open to be attacked by the opponent but possibilities because of this move is worth the risk.

Another tactic is to time the sacrifice of your own piece. While likes to do that it is sometimes important to grasp the situation where losing one of your piece open the possibility of striking hard at the opponent like dismissing his or her better valued piece or taking control of a position that is advantageous to your strategy.

One of the most important tactic to follow is getting the pieces in the back row in the midst of the action as soon as possible as they are the ones which will help you in your strategy resulting in the checkmate
